I know that the composers used a great deal of electronic elements in the scores of both Batman Begins and The Dark Knight, but were the traditional instruments heard, such as brass, strings, and percussion done with authentic instruments?

One Response to “Did Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard use a real orchestra for the score of The Dark Knight?”
I am not sure.
But I play the violin and I heard it throughout the movie and many other instruments as well.
Maybe they used a few “electronic elements” but i am pretty sure most of it was conducted with a real orchestra.
